Initial Consultation
Your journey begins with a thorough inspection of your home's exterior by one of our certified experts. We'll assess the damage and provide a detailed report, ensuring nothing is overlooked.

Filing Your Claim
We'll guide you through the process of filing your insurance claim, ensuring all necessary documentation is submitted accurately and on time. Our team will also work directly with your insurance company to advocate on your behalf, ensuring you receive the coverage you deserve.

Inspection Day
Once you have determined that you would like Clifton Exteriors to be your contractor of choice and represent you through the claims process, we will meet your adjuster during the home inspection and point out any damages observed during the initial contractor inspection.
Please note that your insurance company will ultimately decide if there was a sufficient loss, but we can be a second pair of eyes for them during this process. We have been on many inspections after the adjuster inspected the home without us present and initially deemed it a non-sufficient loss. Then, we produced pictures and evidence to the insurance company proving a sufficient loss. So, it's essential to have a contractor present during this process.

Insurance Company Statement Of Loss
Once a sufficient loss has been deemed and your claim has been approved, your insurance company will send you the damage report in a "Statement of Loss," which outlines the damages in a line-item report.
Remember, insurance companies are in the business of making money and may not always have your best interest at heart. It's very common for insurance companies to leave out critical costs that would allow your project to be completed per state code safety & compliance, as well as other items you are entitled to for a properly installed project. We examine the "Statement of Loss" for any missed items in the report and inform your insurance company of any discrepancies.

Supplement Estimate Submission
Once you forward us the Statement of Loss, we will look it over thoroughly. We will inform your insurance company of anything that was left out. In some cases, we submit a Contractor Supplemental Report to them. This report includes all the approved line items in the original Statement of Loss but may also include other items you are entitled to for code compliance, safety, etc.
It's extremely rare that we do not get the insurance company to agree to our Supplemental Report. However, they can be unresponsive to us. Depending on the responsiveness of your assigned adjuster, we may need you to step in to give them a call to keep things moving forward.
6.
Establish The Final Agreement
Once we work out any pending issues regarding the Statement of Loss with your insurance company, we send you the final agreement and scope of work. This agreement includes picking out colors, available options for the project, and any possible extra work you might want to add to the project that was not part of the Statement of Loss.
Please note that we never charge you more than the insurance company has approved for your project. With this agreement, you are only obligated to pay your insurance company deductible out of pocket. With roofing projects, sometimes rotted plywood under the shingles is observed after the tear-off and must be replaced. Insurance companies will not approve added costs for replacing rotted plywood, so an extra charge for this is notated in the agreement if we come across wood rot.

We hired the company to install oversized gutters and new downspouts. Our home is surrounded by tall trees and for that reason we also sought a means to keep our gutters clear of leaves and other detritus.
Working with Clifton Exteriors was extremely easy. Their estimate aligned with other estimates, but the contract we received was among the most professionally generated contracts we've ever seen compared to previous jobs with other companies. The contract was extremely detailed and outlined everything we could expect.
It took approximately 1 1/2 - 2 weeks to get onto their schedule, but once we had a date, owner Chris McNulty kept us well informed with respect to start time and other details. When they had to postpone the job, Chris was very flexible to reschedule our work date.
The crew that came to our home was courteous, highly professional, and worked non stop to complete the job in approximately three hours. Cleanup was outstanding, to include ensuring the contents of our old gutters was not left behind.
Clifton Exteriors installs the Bulldog gutter guard. The system does not include a mesh screen that can become clogged from shingle dust and other debris. We won't know if it solves our leaf problem for quite some time, but we're optimistic it will do the trick.
